NW Region Embroiderers’ Guild Summer School

This year at our summer school at Alston Hall I did the Francis Pickering course on making books. I used Tiffany Glass as my source of inspiration.  I started the book on the course but have only just finished the cover the contents.

Francis and her husband were very generous with their time and ideas/ suggestions.  I actually made a completely different cover whilst at summer school but decided that I didn’t really like it when I got home so I started again!

Your book is amazing and very Tiffany! I love Frances Pickering's work and was lucky enough to have her as my tutor for a distance learning course with Gloscat some years ago. I also did a day school with her and she is one of the artist's I will be focussing on in part of the course I am about to start with Distant Stitch. I am doing Creative Sketchbooks which should be very enjoyable.

this is really nice - I like the cover - and the inside pages so interesting......your shapes, colours and compositions - can see your influence without it being a copy of Tiffany
nice work!!
