More American Smocking Samples

Here are a couple more samples of Amercian Smocking. We we introduced to these by Monica at our last meeting on One Step On.

The blue one is silk dupion with gold spots done in the lattice pattern. The second image shows the reverse side. (Just as interesting in its own right)
The other sample is worked on olive green spotty cotton and shows the wave technique on the front and also the effect on the reverse side.

They are really quick to work.

These are beautiful and create such lovely surface textures. It's hard to believe they are quick to work - they look so intricate and quite complicated.
